Please share a memory of Jean to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jean Clarke, age 70, of Hawley and formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at NYU Medical Center in New York City, surrounded by her loving family.
Jean was born May 7, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late John and Madeline (Alfano) Arico. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas J. Clarke in 2010 and a twin brother, Anthony Arico.
Her life's work was raising her family. She loved music, having been known to sign a tune now and then;and always brought a smile to people's faces.
The love in her heart she had was most evident as she cooked a meal for those she loved, for that smile upon their face gave her tremendous joy, as when she would sing a song or just play her favorite music, just as her trips to the casino. It was the love she had in her life which was all due to the love she gave to others, especially her five grandsons whom she adored.
Jean was the former President of Hawley Legion Post 311 Women's Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years: Thomas J.Clarke of Hawley; two daughters & sons-in-law, Valerie & Brian Kenny of Westbury, LI, NY; Michele & Ed Rasmussen of Westwood, NJ; five grandsons, Thomas, Justin, Sean, Austin & Edward and one brother: Dominick Arico of FL.
