Obituary of George F. Delling

George F. Delling, age 73, of Tafton, PA, died Friday, March 25, 2005, at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale. Born in Blooming Grove, PA, he was the son of the late George W. and the late Ida (Frank) Delling. He is survived by his wife, the former Alberta J. Seese, whom he married in 1952. He served in the Army during Korean War and received a letter of appreciation for his superior performance during the rehabilitation of Carolina Beach, NC, after its devastation resulting from Hurricane Hazel in 1954. He was retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator from Resorts USA in 1998. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters: Debra Scholl of Paupack, PA; Brenda Drake of Lords Valley, PA; Wanda Williams of Rowland, PA; and Linda Delabar of Blooming Grove, PA; four grandsons: Daniel Drake of Hawley, PA; Kyle Drake of Scranton, PA; Richard F. Scholl III of Paupack, PA; and Colby Williams of Rowland, PA; and three granddaughters: Martha Scholl of Paupack, PA; Kelly Williams of Rowland, PA; and Kirsten Williams of Rowland, PA.
