Philip Bassile, age 69, of Paupackan Lake Estates, Hawley, died Friday, May 27, 2005, at home. Mr. Bassile was born March 7, 1936, in Brooklyn, NY, and was the son of the late Anthony and Theresa (DiPaolla) Bassile. He is survived by his wife,the former Virginia Scollo.
He was retired as an Electrical Engineer from NYC Transit Authority in 1991.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Donna McGuinness of Staten Island, NY,and Lori Ely of Brooklyn, NY; one son: Anthony Bassile of Brooklyn, NY; a sister: JoAnna Correl of Orlando, FL; and brother: Anthony Bassile of Orlando, FL.
Funeral will be from the Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home in Brooklyn on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn. Local arrangements were by TEETERS Funeral Chapel.
