Obituary of Vincent J. Pulici

Vincent J. Pulici, age 77, of Hawley, died Friday, July 1, at home. Born January 10, 1928, in Hawley, he was the son of the late Joseph M. and the late Mabel (Kretch) Pulici. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Sophie G. Balanovich.
He served as a US Army paratrooper from 1948 until 1950. He was the owner and operator of Pulici Gas & Oil for 50 years. A member of Scrub Oak Hunting Club, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed woodworking.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter: Carol Ann von Hake of Kailua-Kona, HI; two sons: Arno Pulici of Seeley Lake, MT, and Joseph M. Pulici of Hawley, PA; a sister-in-law: Peggy Pulici of Hawley, PA; and five grandchildren: Andrew McPherson, Vince Pulici, Chris Pulici, Samantha Pulici and Holly Sullivan.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, Inc., 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral mass will be Thursday at 10:00AM at BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 319 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, with the Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in B.V.M. Queen Of Peace Cemetery, Hawley.
