Obituary of Genevieve McCann

Genevieve McCann, age 74, of Lake Ariel, died Thursday, August 18, 2005, at Mercy Hospital, Scranton. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Genevieve (Barlow) Maritato. She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Robert McCann. She was a member of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church in Lake Ariel.
She is survived by one daughter: Patricia Clarke of Clarksville, TX; one son: Robert McCann of Allen, TX; two sisters: Connie Maritato and Dorothy Maritato, both of Lake Ariel; a brother-in-law: William Pezzella of White Mills, PA; an aunt: Dorothy Ruppert of Brooklyn, NY; five grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held August 23, 2005 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph's RC Church in White Mills, PA. The Rev. Joseph Kutch will officate.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Wayne Unit, 627 Main St, Honesdale, PA 18431.
