Obituary of Felicia Straface

Felicia Straface, age 75, of Hawley, died Friday, August 26, 2005, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Carmine and the late Mary (Clemente) Giuliano. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Ralph L. Straface Sr., in 2001. Prior to her retirement, she spent 28 years as secretary for the Athletic Director of Harrison Central School District. She was a member of BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Hawley. In addition, she was the former President of Civil Service Employee Assn., Harrison School District, having served for 17 years. She also loved knitting and was considered the Knitting Queen. She is survived by a daughter: Julie Markis of Hawley, PA; a son: Ralph L. Straface Jr. of Harrison, NY; two brothers: Robert Giuliano of Rye Brook, NY, and Carmine Giuliano of Port Chester, NY; and six grandchildren: Michael & Christopher Markis, Adam, Stephanie, Ashley and Samantha Straface. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:00AM at BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 319 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, with Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in B.V.M. Queen Of Peace Cemetery, Hawley.
