William J. Donahue, age 76, of Lake Ariel, died Sunday, October 16, 2005, at Brighten at Julia Ribaudo, Lake Ariel. Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Walter Francis and the late Mary Louise (Melanson) Donahue, Sr. He is survived by his wife, the former Mabel Hamilton.
A Naval Veteran from the Korean War, he was a retired primary school teacher and remained an active member of the New York State Teachers Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Vicki and Cathleen Donahue, both of Hawley, PA, and Mary Hilton of Mt. Juliet, TN; one son: Robert Donahue of Lords Valley, Hawley, PA; two sisters: Ann and Mae Donahue; three brothers: Paul, Jay, and Walter Donahue Jr.; and seven grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 1 PM Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Holy Trinity Roman catholic Church in Somersworth, NH
