Obituary of Alfred Lingenfelser

Alfred Lingenfelser, age 76, of Roemerville Rd., Greentown, Canadensis, died Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at Geisinger Hospital in Danville. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, the former Anna Luise Schenkel. Born in Flehingen, Germany, he was the son of the late Otto and Marie (Strauss) Lingenfelser.
He was retired as a self-employed truck driver in Germany. Mr. Lingenfelser was a member of St. Veronica's Roman Catholic Church in Paupack, Promised Land Fire Co. Aux. and the Wallenpaupack German-American Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Sylvia and Gabi, and a son: Thomas Lingenfelser, all living in Germany. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
A Funeral Mass will be held at BVM Queen of Peace Church in Hawley on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 10:00AM. Visitation will be held at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St., Hawley, on Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM.
