Ronald D. Head, age 69, of Greentown died following an illness on Sunday, October 30, 2005, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Born in Nanticoke, New York, he was the son of the late Wilbur C. and the late Minnie E. (Morgan) Head.
He served in the Army during Korean War and was a member of the American Legion in Newfoundland. A retired truck driver, he also loved to hunt rattlesnakes.
He is survived by two daughters: Sandy Quick of Hawley and Teresa Bates of Honesdale; eight grandchildren: Kevin, Ryan, Jessica, Sarah, Cindi, David Jr., Olivia and William; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, David and Steven.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Thursday at 10:00AM at the funeral home with Rev. Martin L. Cox, Jr., Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Green Gates Cemetery in Hawley.
