Obituary of Walter Raymond Holmquest

Walter Raymond Holmquest, age 90, of Hawley, died Saturday, January 14, 2006, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Born in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Herman F. and the late Violet Holmquest. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Elvira Ann Kraemer, in 2003.
Formerly a resident of Cranford, NJ, he had been Chief Engineer at a number of different hospitals prior to his retirement. Mr. Holmquest was a graduate of Rutgers University and a member of National Association of Power Engineers.
He is survived by a son: Jeff Holmquest of Hawley, PA; two grandchildren: Jennifer and Douglas; and several nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
