Obituary of Robert W. Weber Jr.

Robert W. Weber, Jr., age 76, of Whitney Lake, Hawley, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 2, 2006, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Robert W. and the late Elizabeth (Doak) Weber Sr. He is survived by his wife, the former Maureen Ward. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bette Louise McFarland Weber, in 1993. Mr. Weber served in the Army from 1951 to 1953 during Korean War. Formerly of Pottstown, he had been a mason and brick layer prior to his retirement. A local resident for thirty years, he was a retired Wayne Co. Deputy Sheriff, an Endowment Member of the NRA, and enjoyed working security for Wayne County and Greene-Dreher-Sterling Fairs. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter: Katherine Harding of Hawley, a son: Robert William Weber III of Beach Lake, and a granddaughter, Shannon Harding of Hawley.
