Obituary of Celinda Humphreys

Celinda Humphreys, age 91, of Bethany Village, Honesdale, died Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at home. Born September 16, 1914, in Perkasie, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd E. and the late Anna H. (Fretz) Flagler. She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Humpreys, in 1991. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James W. Douglas, in 1957. She was employed as an upholsterer for Standard Press Steel prior to her retirement. Formerly a resident of Merritt Island, FL, she had been a local resident for five years. She was an artist in oil and watercolor. She is survived by one daughter: Bonnie Malti of Hawley, PA; a son: Frank James Douglas of Troy, MO; a sister: Ruth Weierbach of Lower Gwynedd, PA; a brother: Earl Flagler of Ellenton, FL; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 5 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Monday at 9:30AM at the funeral home with Rev. Martin L. Cox, Jr., Pastor of Hawley United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler, PA.
