Obituary of Roger Arnold Laabs

Roger Arnold Laabs, age 68, of Hawley, died Thursday, February 23, 2006, at home. Mr. Laabs was born April 3, 1937, in Hawley and was the son of the late August and the late Catherine (VanWanger) Laabs.
He retired from Wallenpaupack Area School District as a custodian. He loved to hunt and bowl and also loved the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years: Diane (Freytag) Laabs; three daughters & sons-in-law: Pamela & Verdon White of Tafton, Deborah & Kevin McCuen of Hawley, Bobbie and Bob Schuman of Hawley; a daughter: Krystine Laabs of Hawley; a son & daughter-in-law: Timothy & Carol Laabs of Lake Ariel; eight grandchildren: Robert, Melissa, Cody, Kyndra, Caroline, Joshua, Tanner & Kyle; and one great grandchild: Kamden.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday March 1, 2006, at 11:00AM at the Laabs Property, Long Ridge Rd., Hawley.
