Obituary of Doris Mae Kowalchik

Doris Mae Kowalchik, age 79, of Honesdale and formerly of Hawley, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Mercy Hospice, Scranton. Mrs. Kowalchik was born December 18, 1926 in Hawley, PA and was the daughter of the late Milo and the late Myrtle (Compton) Cron. She was predeceased by her husband Harry and a sister, Mary Cron. Doris loved her family and her dog, Pierre. She was retired from the housekeeping dept. at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She is survived by daughter & companion, Debra Ranner & Gerald Connolly of Honesdale, PA; daughter & son-in-law, Cynthia Kowalchik & Lester Loscig of Honesdale, PA; 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a sister Myrtle MacFadden of Bristol, TN. Calling hours will be Thursday March 9, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Friday March 10, at 10:00AM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley with Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor B.V.M. Queen of Peace RC Church, officiating. Burial will be in Green Gates Cemetery, Hawley. Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice, 746 Jefferson Ave., Scranton, PA 18501
