Robert Knight, age 70, of Penn Woods, Greentown, died Saturday, March 11, 2006 at home.
Born March 23, 1935, in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Theodore and the late Dorothy (Smith) Knight. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Sally Ann Ciulla.
During the Korean Conflict, he served as a Master Sergeant in the US Army. Mr. Knight was the owner of Vogue Weddings and Mr. Tux for 40 years and Astorian Manor for 20 years in Queens, NY. He spent most of his life in New York, last residing in Oyster Bay Cove, LI, NY, before moving to the Poconos ten years ago. He loved to eat and traveled miles for a good meal. He was an avid Brooklyn Dodgers fan. Bob was a very compassionate person, a wonderful husband and father.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Bobby and his wife Kay of Charlottesville, VA, and Keith of North Bergen, NJ; a sister: Ann Webster and her husband Don of North Fork, LI, NY; and four grandchildren: Robert, Carley, Taylor and Kayla. He was preceded in death by a brother, Theodore.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, Mar. 14, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. There will be a Funeral Mass on Wed., Mar. 15, at 10:00 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 319 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, with Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor, officiating.
