Obituary of Charles W. Schnath Jr

Charles W. Schnath, Jr, age 82, of Tafton, died Friday, March 24, 2006, at home. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles William and the late Louise (Brechlin) Schnath. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Esther Louise Anderson. Retired in 1985 from Grumman Aerospace as a price analyst, he had vacationed at Lake Wallenpaupack for over 30 years, before moving there permanently 1 years ago. A member of St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hawley, he had previously been a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Central Islip, NY. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Lisette L. and Steven F. Barile of Mastic Beach, NY; a daughter: Barbara L. Beutler of Patchogue, NY; two sons: Carl W. Schnath of Patchogue, NY, and Roger D. Schnath of Aurora, CO; a granddaughter: Sara J. Beutler of Greentown, PA; and three grandsons: Steven F. Barile, Jr., of Mastic Beach, NY, Christopher M. Beutler of Medford, NY, and Adam G. Schnath of Bozeman, MT. Calling hours will be Monday, Mar. 27, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Tuesday, Mar. 28, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with Rev. David Heckler, Pastor of St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Green Gates Cemetery in Hawley. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Pike Unit, 110 W. Harford St, Milford, PA 18337, or Grace Lutheran Church, 75 Calebs Path, Central Islip, NY 11722.
