Obituary of David Jacob Hess

David Jacob Hess, age 76, of Honesdale died Friday, September 8, 2006 at home. Mr. Hess was born May 5, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY and was the son of the late David and Theresia (Ritter) Hess. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He had his pilots license and enjoyed both flying and boating. He was a retired owner of a knitting mill in Ridgewood, NY. He is survived by his wife: Eleanor (Heinz) Hess, one daughter: Tara Klepadlo of Honesdale, PA and one son: David Hess of Honesdale, PA and 3 grandchildren, Joshua, Madelyn, Jacob. He was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Hess and a brother, George Hess. A memorial service will be held Thursday Sept. 14, at 11:00AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 405 Church St., Hawley with Rev. David Heckler, Pastor officiating. Cremation will be at the Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
