Obituary of LeRoy Ross Pittenger

LeRoy Ross Pittenger, age 58, of Greeley died Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Burdette-Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. Mr. Pittenger was born March 17, 1948 in Franklin, NJ and was the son of the late Lee R. and Minnie (Dodd) Pittenger. He served in the Navy from 1968 to 1972 during the Vietnam War as a loadmaster and Sea Bee. LeRoys family was his life. He was a lifetime Harley rider and avid cycle enthusiast. He enjoyed his childrens sports activities. He also loved his country and was very patriotic. He was the owner & operator of L.R. Pittenger & Sons Trucking. He is survived by his wife of 25 years: Donna Lyn (Davenport) Pittenger and three sons: Walter Pittenger at home, Brian Pittenger at home, Mark & Abby Pittenger of Lakeville, PA and a daughter Rachel & Steven Brader of Coronado, CA; one granddaughter Haylee Brader; five sisters: Eunice Spangenberg of Branchville, NJ, Judy Hulse of Middletown, NY, Cindy Pittenger of Osteen, FL, Sherry Dobbs of NC, and Christine and three brothers: John H. Pittenger of Slate Hill, NY, Jamie Strobeck of Osteen, FL, Eugene Strobeck of Osteen, FL; Step Mother, Marilyn Pittenger of Middletown, NY; Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be Friday Sept. 15 from 2 to 4 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Friday Sept 15 at 4:00PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley with Deacon Glenn Biagi officiating. After the 4PM service on Friday family & friends may gather at Fanasty Island to celebrate LeRoys life. Cremation will take place at the Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
