Obituary of Mildred M. Jebson

Mildred M. Jebson, age 87, of Paupack, died Wednesday, November 22, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. Born October 21, 1919, in Paupack, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Alice (Singer) Gumble. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Arthur Joseph Jebson.
A graduate of Hawley High School, she served as a Navy WAVE during World War II. Although a homemaker, she was also the former owner of Mil-Art Laundry in Paupack and, along with her husband, was the founder of Jebson Insurance.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Karen and Herbert Weaver of Paupack; two granddaughters: Kristen Weaver of Paupack and Tracey Mukoda of Dover, DE; two brothers: Earl and Robert Gumble, both of Paupack; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Gumble.
Calling hours will be Monday, Nov. 27, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Teeters East Chapel, 505 Church St., Hawley. The Memorial Service will be Monday, at 11:00AM at the funeral home, with Rev. Martin L. Cox, Jr., Pastor of Hawley United Methodist Church, officiating. Cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel.
