William Henry Motz, Sr., age 43, of Wallenpaupack Lake Estates, Lake Ariel, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 4. Born June 24, 1963, in Flushing, NY, he was the son of Henry W.and Catherine (Reinhardt) Motz. He is survived by his wife, the former Debora Ann McCabe.
Formerly of College Point, NY, he was a construction worker and had worked as a linen clerk at Flushing Hospital in New York. He had been a local resident for seven years and was an avid Jets fan and dart player. He was He was also a basketball coach at Wallenpaupack Schools.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons: William H. Jr., Daniel P., and Steven R., all at home; his parents: Henry W. and Catherine Motz of College Point, NY; three sisters: Catherine Donato of Bayside, NY, Patricia Love of Masthope, Lackawaxen, PA, and Susan Consigli of Elmont, NY; three brothers: Henry Motz of Freeport, LI, NY, Thomas Motz of College Point, NY, and Raymond Motz of College Point, NY; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Teeters Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be Thursday at 10:00 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Hawley, with Rev. Ronald Altrui, Pastor of St. Marys Roman Catholic Church in Ledgedale, officiating. Private cremation will be held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
