Obituary of Margaret A. Mogelesky

Margaret A. Mogelesky, age 94, Paupack Point, Hawley, died Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester S. Mogelesky, in 2010. They had been married for 69 years.
Born January 13, 1919, in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Mericko) Marcinov.
Mrs. Mogelesky was a member of BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Hawley and attended St. Anne's Basilica Annual Solemn Novena. She was also a member of the Hawley Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing bingo.
Margaret enjoyed traveling to Alaska and visiting her grandchildren. Those who knew her will remember how she loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and shared her abundant caring love of others. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Margaret is survived by three daughters: Marjorie Novak and her husband David of N. Plainfield, NJ, Anne Marie Nelson of Worcester, MA, and Rosemary Craig of Anchorage, AK; her grandchildren: Michael and Monica Novak of N. Plainfield, NJ, Katrina Lacher of Edmond, OK, Alexandra Fogarty of Denver, CO, and Thomas and Benjamin Craig of Anchorage, AK; her great grandchildren: Amanda, Michael, Olivia, Finn, and Luna; a great-great grandson: Julian; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Erik Nelson; two sisters, Susan Dziak and Catherine Wasco; and a brother, John Martin.
Calling hours will be Saturday, August 3, from 8AM to 9 AM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, August 3, at 9:30 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley with Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor officiating. Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton on Saturday immediately following the Mass.
