Carol J. Obojkovits, age 61, of Mountain Lake Estates, Hawley, died Tuesday, March 20, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Born August 19, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Edna (Ryan) Connolly. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Erich I.Obojkovits. Formerly of Brooklyn, NY, she had been a local resident for 30 years. She retired 6 yers ago as a Merchandise Assistant from Woolworth Corp. She was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Wilson-Kelch Post 311, Hawley, and a member of the Red Hat Society. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons: Erich J. Obojkovits of Sloatsburg, NY, and Edward J. Obojkovits of Holmes, NY; three sisters: Janet Quinn of Brooklyn, NY, Kathleen Bader of Hawley, PA, and Gail Barnes of Hawley, PA; 5 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Connolly, and a sister, Margaret Connolly. Calling hours will be Thursday, Mar. 22, and Friday, Mar. 23, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. There will be Funeral Mass on Saturday, Mar. 24, at 10:00AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 319 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, celebrated by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Burial will be in Green Gates Cemetery, Hawley. Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Wilson-Kelch Post 311, Hawley, PA, 18428; American Cancer Society, Pike Unit, 110 W.
