I am going to miss my mother very much. I was her first born. I did get to see her before she went to heaven and I am grateful for that. May God bless her and have mercy on her soul.

Lord,
You have called home one whom you love, gone now from this earthly dwelling, leaving behind those who mourn.
Grant that as we grieve we may hold memory dear, living in hope of Your eternal kingdom where You promise to bring us together again.
Amen.
....The souls of the just are in the hands of God and no torment can touch them... Rest in peace, Marianne.

I wanted to thank all of you who have posted your thoughts and prayers here. May God love and bless+ all of you and your loved ones.
Interestly, I also consecrated my self yesterday to Our Lady via the St. Louis de Montfort way after the 33 day preparation of prayers. During that preparation, my dear wife Marianne died and I'm sure she went to heaven, as many people were praying for her. On the morning of Aug. 9th, I awoke at 2:40am and was inspired to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet for Marianne. She had just spent over 3 weeks in the hospital and had suffered a series of heart attacks. I got to the Apostles Creed, when the phone rang and the hospice nurse told me that Marianne had gone to the Lord. I then finished the Chaplet for her and then called our children to let them know about their mom. We had the funeral Mass and burial on the vigil of the Assumption, Wednesday Aug. 14th. It was a beautiful Mass and service! One parishioner told me that at the consecration, he saw Our Lady above the altar dressed in a beautiful golden dress and she was smiling. That story gave me "goose pimples"! Many people gave us Mass cards for Marianne. All I can say is "Thank you" and I will keep you all in my heart and prayers.
