Obituary of Alfreda W. Ruziecki

Alfreda W. Ruziecki, age 62, of Lakeville, died Monday, May 14, at Mercy Hospital, Scranton. Born August 10, 1944, in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Wanda (Walewski) Czarnecki. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank C. Ruziecki, in July 1995. Formerly of Middletown, NJ, she had been an optometrist assistant prior to her retirement. She had been a local resident for four years and was a member of BVM Queen of Peace RC Church, Hawley. She is survived by a daughter & son-in-law: Nancy & Frank Burpo of Hawley, PA; a daughter: Christina Kanevsky of Bridgewater, NJ; a son: Andrew Ruziecki of Red Bank, NJ; a sister: Audrey Garabics of Toms River, NJ; a brother: Ronald Czarnecki of Miamitown, OH; three granddaughters: Emily, Sarah & Julee Burpo; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, May 17, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Teeters East Chapel, 505 Church St., Hawley. The funeral will be Friday, May 18, at 10:00 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 319 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Red Bank, NJ. Contributions are requested to assist the family with final expenses.
