Gary J. Hopkins, age 36, of Lakeville, PA died Wednesday, June 6, 2007 in Honesdale, PA. Mr. Hopkins was born April 9, 1971 in Scranton, PA and was the son of William J.and Lori (Macdonough) Hopkins. Gary was a hardworking and loving husband, father & son. He was the owner & operator of G&M Landscaping & Honesdale Beverage. He was formerly employed at L.T. Verrastro in Scranton. Gary loved his dogs, Amber & Harley. He is survived by his wife of 12 years: Mary E.(Goodwin) Hopkins, one daughter: Samantha Hopkins and one son: Gary J. Hopkins, Jr.; his parents William J. and Lori (Macdonough) Hopkins of Hawley, PA; sister: Amy Kirsten of Hawley, PA; brother & sister-in-law, Scott & Heather Hopkins of Uniondale, PA; sister & brother-in-law, Amanda & George Morell of Dunmore, PA; nieces and nephews, Stephanie & Kaitlyn Kirsten, Guilian Hopkins-Morell, Forest, Hunter & Hailey Hopkins; Mother & Father-in-law, Alfred & Barbara Goodwin of Lake Ariel, PA; brother & sister-in-law, Al & Margot Goodwin of Closter, NJ; grandparents, Elaine & Alfred Cook of Lake Ariel, PA; grandparents, William & Eleanor Hopkins of Honesdale, PA; great grandmother, Helen Franc of Lake Ariel, PA. Gary was predeceased by a nephew, Owen Goodwin. Calling hours will be Sunday, June 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral will be Monday, June 11, at 10:00AM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley with Rev. David Heckler, Pastor St. Pauls Lutheran Church, officiating. Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel, PA.
