Daniel Vacca, Jr., age 89, of Hawley died Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale. Mr. Vacca was born March 4, 1918 in Paterson, NJ and was the son of the late Daniel and Mary Vacca. He was predeceased by his first wife, Estella R. Vacca, a sister Sunday Vanesse and 2 brothers, George & Herman. He retired as owner of Arrow Throwing Mill, Hawley, PA. After his retirement he formed Dan Vacca Enterprises, a fabric consultant firm. Mr. Vacca was a member of the 55+ club in Paupack, past Commodore of Lake Wallenpaupack Yacht Club. Dan sponsored and bowled for the Arrow Throwing team in the Wayne Major Bowling League for over 50 years. He was loved and respected by all who met & knew him. He is survived by his wife of 24 years: Charlotte(Miller) Edwards Vacca.; daughter & son-in-law, Stella & David Nell of Charlotte, NC; daughter & son-in-law, Patti & Keith Wilmont of Plymouth, MI; daughter & son-in-law, Danielle & Dean Rodenbaugh of Leawood, KS; son & daughter-in-law, John & Joann Edwards of Hawley, PA; son & daughter-in-law, Jeff & Janice Edwards of Balston Spa, NY; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held Friday, July 6, from 7 to 9 PM at Teeters East Chapel in Hawley. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 7 at 11:00AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 405 Church St., Hawley with Rev. David Heckler, Pastor officiating. Memorials may be made to St Paul's Lutheran Memorial Fund, 405 Church St., Hawley, PA 18428
