The great uncle Mikey has passed away. He was one of my favorite uncles. Always happy and smiling.
I am now estranged from my family, and living in Denver, Colorado and living a good life.
I would also like to say "hi" to my aunt Evelyn.
We will all meet together someday, and soon may it be.
THX!

I remember when we went to auntie bubs in NC Carolina and I showed you all my toys and I just stacked them all over you... I remember talking to you on the phone and send you and great grandma pictures and stuff I have drawn for you. How you laughed at me and Haylee when my mom took us to your house in PA. I love you great grandpa!

He was one of the greatest men that ever walked the earth...I did not get to see him much since I lived so far away... but I remember the phone calls... The raspberries on our cheeks as children. The running around ranting if we left the basement light on as children. Him in the basement working on his wood working. I will forever treasure all my special wooden creations made by grandfather. Especially my kitty shelf for all my collectibles. How no matter how bad we burned breakfast for him when we spent the night... he would always rave about how good it was. There are so many memories... especially seeing him with my children... I will love you forever pop-pop and I know you will be watching over me and my children. Till I see you again! I love you!

I would just like to extend our condolences to the family from Evelyn's cousins, the Sabo's in western New York. My Uncles and Late Father & Grandmother, new the family and I remember them mentioning Mickey Sitch, though I never had the opportunity to meet him myself. I really enjoyed reading all the previous "candle" posts here especially those by the Grandchildren. I could visualize their detailed descriptions of Mickey and relate to them well with the recent passing of my own father, Albert Sabo in October.

I remember first meeting Mickey when Evelyn brought him to meet us and introduced him as her fiancee. He was friendly, jovial and liked to joke. He was also good looking with his wavy black hair. I remember how he and Evelyn were so proud of their first child, Evelyn (Bubbles), and how they named their second child, Gordon, after Rev A. Gordon Karnell, minister of First Presbyterian Church of Perth Amboy, N.J., because they were so fond of him. Mickey wa well liked by everyone, and was always pleasant.

My brother Bob told me about Mickey's passing. Bob said he always enjoyed talking with him. I remember as a little girl he teased me about my blanket and thumb sucking. Now I have seven grandchildren, some suck their thumb. Although we have not seen each other for several years, our thoughts and prayers are with you.I live in Toms River, NJ but have good friends in Hawley, Richard & Barbara Briden. Nancy & Bob

Mike was a very dear friend and great pal to my Dad, Sam Mazur. They worked together at the Vocational School and retired together to the Poconos. The last great moment we have together was at my Dad's 80th birthday two years ago (this coming Sunday), when Mike and Evelyn came to help celebrate....with an ice cream social. We reminiced about the "good old days" and had a wonderful day together.
Their spiritis are in the heavens now watching over all of us.
My sympathies to the Sitch family from the Mazur family.
Kindest Regards,
Judi "Mazur" Cox

My Grandfather could light up a room with just a smile. He was one of the greatest inspirations in my life. I looked up to him with the upmost respect. My Grandfather and Grandmother had a very strong love for one another and I always hoped I would be as lucky as them one day. I have countless memories I will forever cherish in my heart. My Grandfather helped shape our world and experienced things first hand that we often take forgranted these days. He was loved by all and touched many lives. He will continue to smile down on us and share his light. I love you Grandpop...

My Great grandpa was a Hero not only to me, but to the country! Although I didn't see him often He was very special to me. I will always remember the Christmas' we shared, He would put on his white and red striped pajamas, along with his Santa hat and would be the "garbage man" and collect the wrapping paper. When I would visit he would play his harmonica and do his " Popeye" impression. He lived a great life and I will never forget him!
Love,
Allison

This world has lost one of the most outstanding men I've ever known. He was my grandfather, but more then that he was my friend. He taught me life, he taught me honesty, and he taught me how to love.
As a young boy I remember visiting him on Wednesday nights. We would sit in the T.V. room and watch the New York Mets. He would always elbow me in the side and say, "Peanuts, peanuts, get us the peanuts", as he pointed to the closet. To me that was some special great time with "Pop Pop". I will always remember those nights.
I want to say thank you for being you. Thank you for being a man I could always look up too. Thank you for doing the best Popeye the Sailor Man I have ever heard. Thank you for always collecting the torn wrapping paper at Christmas. Thank you for the wrestling tickets. Thank you for taking me to work with you. Thank you for my first weight bench. Thank you for building me my first bird house. Thank you for loving me, and always being there for me. Thank you for the peanuts. And thank you for the memories. You will always be in my heart. I love you.

I did not know him all that long; only for a few years but I could immediately tell he was a king and generous soul. He loved all that he encountered. His sensitivity was astounding. I am glad my wife had him as her grandfather. I am blessed to have met him. I will miss you. Jeff

I was blessed to have the very finest grandfather that a little girl, and then a grown woman, can have. Mickey has not left me; he is a part of me and will continue to be a part of me forevermore. Mickey is God's light - and as such his light will NEVER go out. I can feel him and see him smiling down on us all, with God's arms wrapped around him, thus suffering no more. I love you Mickey. Thanks for being the finest grandfather a girl could ever have!
