Obituary of Robert P. Sullivan

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert "Bob" Sullivan announces his peaceful passing on Friday, Aug. 17, in Moorestown, NJ. He was 82.
He was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Mamaroneck, NY, to Alfred and Edna (Brady) Sullivan. Bob served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked for the County Trust Bank, which later became the Bank of New York, for over 35 years. On Sept. 27, 1952, he married Catherine Mary Sheridan in Hawley, PA. The two resided in Valhalla, NY, where they raised their children. She predeceased him on Aug. 5, 1994.
He was the loving father of Barbara and son-in-law Jim Kelm of Yorktown, NY; son Robert (Bobby) and daughter-in-law Jean Sullivan of Charlotte, NC, and son Brian and daughter-in-law Karen Sullivan of Hawley, PA; and the loving grandfather of Joseph, Jackie, Jimmy, Steven, Scot and Nicholas.
Later in life Bob was fortunate to meet Joan Zastavny. They married in October 2003 and lived in Marlton, NJ.
Visitation will be held at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St., Hawley, on Mon., Aug. 20, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at BVM Queen of Peace RC Church, Chestnut Ave., Hawley, on Tues., Aug. 21, at 10:00AM. Interment will be at BVM Queen of Peace RC Cemetery.
