Obituary of Herbert Geoffrey Weaver

Herbert Geoffrey Weaver, age 59, of Paupack, died Saturday, August 18, 2007, at home. Born February 29, 1948, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Donald Frederick and Marion (Myers) Weaver. He is survived by his wife, the former Karen Jebson.
An Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, he had an Associates Degree in Science from Cumberland College. He was a Lieutenant with the Pike Co. Sheriff's Dept. He was Director of Security for Woodloch Pines and Woodloch Springs from 1987-2001, a Bridgeton, NJ, Police Officer from 1976-1986, and worked for Hemlock Farms Security from 1972 to 1975.
Mr. Weaver was a member of Salem Lodge F&AM; American Legion; Tafton Fire Co. EMT; Dare Officer, EMT and Bomb Technician for Pike Co. Sheriff's Dept; International Assoc of Bomb Technicians; Pike Co Emergency Management Team; Pike Co. Republican Committee
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Kristen Weaver of Paupack, and Tracey Mukoda of Dover, DE; his mother: Florence Weaver of Hawley; three sisters: Marion Gail Owens of Philadelphia, PA, Donna Grace Harkins of South Hampton, PA, and Lisa Parry of Madisonville, PA; two brothers: Thomas George Weaver of Burlington, VT, and Gerald Messer of Hawley; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Teeters East Chapel. The funeral will be Thursday, Aug. 23, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Martin L. Cox, Jr., Pastor of Hawley United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Paupack.
