Smokey was one of my favorite people ,here in Hawley. He was always there to lend a helping hand and give a smokyism "'Bout The Same"I remember when he showed me the present he bought for his wife Duane for Christmas, how happy and excited he was and how much he loved her"Don't much matter who is first" he said, what matters" who is last"Duane was the love of his life!I am not good at wakes , the last one I attended was for my parents,I hope you can understand that, I prefer to remember Smokey, alive and can tell you that he touched and changed my life and I am only one of many who will miss him. I found out while walking my dog past Teeters and both Bruce and I cried and were shocked.Duane, you are a dear friend to me and please know that I and Bruce are here if you need us for anything. There are no words...Lynda & Bruce

Smokey was the best neighbor a person could ask for. Over the past 16 years we have lived next door, a special bond was formed that could never be broken or replaced. We will miss him terribly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
