I went to the same school as Bob and I sat at the same lunch table in 6th grade, but we really didn't hang out a lot I mean yeah we talked but that was only at lunch. Well I miss you so much and I will never forget you, best of luck to your family. I only wish that I could rewind time and make sure that you never got killed. I wish that if I had one wish I would wish that I could hang out with you one last time and that none of it ever happened. Well your in my heart and your in Heaven with Jesus.

To the Hartzell family: I are extremely sorry for your loss and can't begin to imagine what you are going through. Jeannie, I have seen you since Bobby's death and am truly amazed by your strength. Bobby was an exemplary person and I can honestly say I never saw him say an unkind word to anyone. He was always kind and helpful. I'm not sure why it was his time to go, but you know that you have someone special watching over you. You have been and will continue to be in my prayers.

I was greatly saddened to have learned of Bobby's tragic death while I was in Texas this week. Bobby was a fine Scout..it was great to see him learn and grow through every experience in Scouting. There is no doubt that he is an excellent example of an Eagle Scout just the same. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with all his family and friends as they move through this time of sadness and loss. Bobby will be truly missed!

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hartzell, Please accept our deepest condolences in the loss of your son. We felt so compelled to offer our sympathy. Your son must of been very driven and focused. We have a son son that has just entered boy scouting and now is working on he 2nd class rank, he is 11. We could only hope that he gets as far as your son did and learn as much as I'm sure your son has learned through his years in scouting. To the family of Boby Hartzeki, My heart goes out to you. It is things like this that does not make any sense to any of us. I don't know Bobby. From what I have read about him, he sounds like he was a really good kid. I lost a cousin to a drowning was she was only 16. I will never understand why this had to happen. One day when we are all in heaven, God will maybe tell us why. Maybe he thought Bobby was more needed in heaven with him. MY prayers go to you and your family.I know it will be hard for you. But if you look to God for help, getting through this, he will be always by your side. I found out today about his death from Boy Scouts. I now we are strangers, but if you need a listening ear, please feel free to call on me. I have never lost a child of my own, I don't know what you are going through. the pain in your heart will ne there for a long time to come. But if you reach towards your family, and friends, and remeber that Bobby is gone in body only. He will always be there with you even if you can't see him. Pray to him, talk to him. If you believe in the Lord, you know that we are only here on Earth for a short time. Death is not an ending, but a begining of something wonderful for all of us. Take care. Susan, Christopher and Anthonyt Banks. My address is 127 E. Green St. Nanticoke, PA.

Boy Scout Troop 129. We went to Canada last year. Robby shared a tent with you and I shared a tent with your Mom. We had a great time - so many laughs. You accomplished so much in your 14 years. And you made us laugh! You were a loving son: you weren't "too cool" to always give your Mom a hug in front of us all.
You will be missed by many, Bobby. We love you.

I only knew Bobby a brief time. But in our trip to Philmont this summer, I got to know a fun, energetic, dynamic young man. I light this candle to help keep the light that has left this world with his passing alive. I didn't know him long, but I will miss him. To the Hartzell Family and Justin Kubu, my thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of grief and darkness.
