I miss you so much. Everyday I cry for you and so does Mommy. Our lives just aren't the same without you here. I know it's selfish because you are now at peace, but we need you here! I tell Mommy that I know you are still with us and she says that although she knows that, it just isn't the same and all she wants is to be able to hear your voice again. I try not to cry in front of her, but I feel the same way. We all want to hear your voice again, listen to your laugh and feel your hugs. I never would have thought the last time you were at the house would have been the last time I would see you walk down the stairs or see you sitting at the table while drinking your tea that you never finished  I miss you, but I can't imagine how much Poppy misses you and to be honest, I don't even want to begin to imagine the immense pain and emptiness he feels. We love you and hope you are with God and at peace and I am sure you are. You had a hard life and remained amazing, kind and strong. I can only hope to be half the woman you are. Oh my God Nanny, I can't believe this is real. I can only hope to see you in my dreams.

While I had not the chance to meet "Nana", as my best friend Christine would call her, I was told many stories about her. What stands out the most was that she was a beautiful woman whose life was filled with love, which she reciprocated consistently. The legend of her love will live forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

Hi Nanny,
I just wanted to let you know that I really miss you and I was glad that you got a chance to visit me on Tuesday when I was at work and kept smelling your perfume in the elevator when I was alone. Some how it helped to let me know that you were at peace.

Dear Grandma,
I just want to wrte a little note to let you know how much I will truly miss you. I know in the past few years, distance has kept our family apart, but you and granpda have alays been the ones to keep it together. You helped raise me and are a big part of the reason I am who I am today. You and grandpa have been such a wodnerful inspiration to me. You have shown me what love truly is.
I will always remember you and the way you lived your life. You have created a beautiful family, and your memory will live on forever in our hearts and minds.
I will love you and miss you for the rest of my life.
"God saw you getting tiredand a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around you and whispered “come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best."
Love your grandson, Michael.

My lil Nanny,
You live on in the hearts and memories of everyone that loves you. I miss you soooo very much and find empty moments in every day that passes without you. You have always been one of my voices of strength and wisdom in this confusing world. Knowing that if I follow in your footsteps by trying to do my best I will see you again, brings comfort to my heart. I don't know what I am going to do without you here. I hope you find little ways to still communicate with us.
It seems like there just aren't enough words to capture how much you mean to me and the rest of our family.
I need you now more than ever and although you are no longer physically here with me, I hear your words and feel your warm hug around me.
I love you Nanny!

do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep,
I am in a thousand winds that blow.
I am the softly falling snow,
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush.
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I do not die.
