Lillin was the essence of Hawley! At 105 3/4 years she saw more history than any of us can ever expect to see! I remember Lil shoving snow at 99. She and Helen were dynamite bridge players well into their 90s. I'm sure they are sitting at a card table now, grand slam in one hand and a cocktail in the other.

I will never forget the day I stopped by Gram's for a short visit and she was moving a dresser down the stairs. After "begging" her to let me help - she said "Oh I just lay it on it's side and guide it down the stairs." On the surface - we'd think that was a good idea....she was a spry 85! Not many people are lucky enough to know their great grandmother let alone their great, great grandmother - not only was she blessed to know them - but they are blessed to know her. I loved to watch her on the front porch swing with Amanda. I always told Amanda to listen to the stories because this isn't something you can read in a book. She will be missed - but will always make us laugh through the love she put in our hearts and the beautiful memories she made for us. Keep smiling Gram - We love you!

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. It was a long time ago, but I have fond memories of playing in her yard, picking her grapes with Patsy. She sure has had a long life.
