What can I say, Brian was an uncle to me. Every memory I have with him was a happy time, and every occasion spent with him was memorable and fun. Many memories speed through my head with Brian--good ones. I remember visiting Brian in North Carolina with Aunt Cindy, Aunt Ruth, Stacey, and Brad. I was maybe five or six years old, and Brian was riding a horse. And it was the funniest thing I had ever seen. I also remember a New Years Eve party where him and I did some sort of dance together. People who were there remember well. I will always hold a special place in my heart for Brian, and for the family and friends that he left behind. In my eyes, Brian lived life well- to it's fullest. I'll miss the beer-can chicken, and the barbecues, but that is a tradition that we will have to continue. Love you Brian.

Recently I was blessed to have been able to talk and laugh with Uncle Brian, and tell him I loved him! You would not have known so much time had passed. Distance may put miles between our family but not our hearts.
I want ALL OF YOU to know that I LOVE YOU!
Aunt Cindy and Stacy, all of my thoughts and prayers are with you, I love you both!

My husband and I only met Brian last year. He hunted with my husband a few times, and had a few good laughs. When my husband hurt his back and couldn't move last year, he was so kind to help me with firewood, it meant more to us than anyone could know. We'll miss him.

Uncle Brian, I will always remember you as a person who truly savored all the joys your life had to offer. Memories of your smiling face, your gentle heart, your incredible cooking skills, and your masterful hunting and fishing skills will stay with me all the days of my life. I sincerely hope that I can take just a fraction of your ability to live life to its fullest and carry it with me to pass on to those around me as I continue through life. I am thankful that your suffering on this earth was not prolonged and that God was merciful, saw your pain, and took you into his arms early on. Comfort exist for me in knowing that you're no longer in pain, that you are with Nanny and those who you have lost that were close to you, and in the saying "Only the good die young" and Uncle Brian, you were truly one of the best. Love Always, Maigan Nicolle

Uncle Brian,
It has been awhile since we last spoke. The memories of going hunting and fishing with you will always be strong in my mind and heart. God must have had a plan to take a good man like you so early in your life. We love you and will miss you always.
Love, John, Lisa and Colin

Brian, I spent hours and days trying to find what I really wanted to say and this seemed most fitting. Brian, God saw you were tired and a cure was not to be found. So He put his arms around you and whispered "Come with Me" With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay, your golden heart stopped beating, your hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the Best. Brian I'll always see your face at 7 years old, those big shining eyes and the freckles across your nose, Love Sue

Brian, time, distance and a respect for your space has kept us apart for a long time.
I want you to know that I have always kept you in my mind and prayers as I do for all our family. I have fond memories of seeing you in North Carolina when I was in
school there. Sue and I still talk about our visit to Pudding Ridge Road when we road horses, played horseshoes and went fishing.
Eren still has the 10 lb bass hanging on his bedroom wall.
I don't know if he would have ever landed it without you holding on to his belt.
Brother, God has you now and it comforts me to know you are with Mom. I love you and we will fish and hunt again when the Lord calls me, Love Bill.

- - In Memory of Brian - -
I will miss you terribly. I know that the burden of time and distance got the best of us and we didn't speak or visit as often as we should have in recent years. But know that you have been with me every day of my life - and will continue to be - but in a much more meaningful way now. I cannot ever find the words to thank or repay you for your mentoring of me as I grew up or for the overall positive impact you've had on me personally. Sometimes I wonder where I'd have ended up without my Uncle Brian looking over my shoulder.
Know that there is some portion of you that has influenced me - and that I use this to influence others every single day.
I take solace in the fact that this terrible disease mercifully took you quickly and that you did not have an extended period of pain or suffering.
I take solace in the fact that you are now in heaven where the streams teem with trout and the woods are full of trophy bucks.
I take solace in the fact that God will now reveal himself to you fully and you will enjoy a relationship with God like you've never experienced before.
I take solace in the fact that you are with Nan.
I take solace in the fact that you are in a better place.
Until we embrace again. In heaven.
I love you and I'll miss you,
Mike Bodle

Thinking about Brian I always smile. I'll always remember our family fishing trip to Stoneys. What a place!
I remember him tending to his vegetable garden & canning in the kitchen. He made it look so easy.
I admire that what you saw, was who he really was. He knew how to stop & enjoy his life. He found time for the things he really loved doing.
Most of all, I'll remember his sensitive & caring side. He was a genuine person & everyone enjoyed his company and loved him very much.
