Obituary of Florence I. Weaver

Florence I. Weaver, age 87, of Hawley Village Apartments, Hawley, died following an illness on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Frederick Weaver, in 1984. Born September 15, 1925, in Doylestown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Friend and Lillian (Miller) Sheerer. Mrs. Weaver was a member of New Covenant Fellowship Pentecostal Church, Columbus Ave, Hawley. A caring and giving person, she was very active in the church and her community. She is survived by her children: Donna Harkins and her husband Bob of Southampton, Gail Owens and her husband Rick of Glenmore, Thomas Weaver and his wife Susan of Essex Junction, VT, Gerald Messer of Hawley, and Lisa Parry and her husband Lynn of Madisonville; her daughter-in-law: Karen Weaver of Paupack; one brother: Elwin Sheerer of Cochranton; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Herbert Weaver; a grandson; Michael Messer, and a brother, Warren Sheerer. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at 11:00 AM at New Covenant Fellowship Pentecostal Church, Columbus Ave, Hawley, with Rev. Bob Nurnberger, Pastor, officiating. Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel. Memorials may be made to New Covenant Fellowship Pentecostal Church, Columbus Ave, Hawley, PA 18428
