Obituary of Dennis Joseph Bellucci

Dennis Joseph Bellucci of Wallenpaupack Lake Estates, Lake Ariel, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. Mr. Bellucci was born in Brooklyn, NY, and was the son of the late Mario and Josephine (Lombardo) Bellucci. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, the former Priscilla Scurti. Dennis was a former usher at BVM Queen of Peace Church. He had been a volunteer at the Ledgedale Fire Company and he attended East New York Vocational & Technical School. He had been employed as a Truck Driver by Exxon. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter: Jillian Bellucci of WLE, Lake Ariel; a daughter & son-in-law: Jamie & John Bellucci-Figueroa of Scranton, PA; seven sisters: Barbara Yuengst of Chester, NY, Deborah Andriano of North Babylon, NY, Concetta Acosta of Ozone Park, NY, Agatha Luciano of Howard Beach, NY, Denise Liebowitz of Staten Island, NY, Iris Ambos of Staten Island, NY, and Rona Ambos of Coral Springs, FL; six brothers: Mark, Stephen and Joseph Scurti, all of Woodhaven, NY, Saverio Bellucci of Lake Ariel, Robert Bellucci, and Howard Ambos of Coral Springs, FL; 3 grandchildren: Rose, William & John; father & mother: Joseph & Rose Scurti; and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, May 13, at 10:00AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, celebrated by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Private cremation will be held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
