Obituary of Frederick J. Cordes

Frederick J. Cordes, age 73, of Greentown died Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Born September 20, 1934, in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Dietrich and Kathe (Sasse) Cordes. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Joan Haase.
A Korean War Navy veteran, he was a retired realtor for Century 21 Select Group. In addition, he was a NJ State Police Lieutenant prior to his retirement in 1982.
He loved to spend time with his granddaughters and was also an avid hunter.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Richard & Kathryn Cordes of Newfoundland, PA; a daughter and son-in-law: Lisa & Richard Jacques of Archbald, PA; and three granddaughters: Janice Cordes, Kaelyn and Jordyn Jacques.
Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
