Obituary of Jean M. Bauer

Jean M. Bauer, age 49, of Tanglwood North, Tafton, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Scranton. Born September 10, 1958, in Morristown, NJ, she was the daughter of Patricia A. (O'Brien) Wilcox of Dover, NJ, and the late Earl F. Wilcox. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Ronald F.Bauer. She attended County College of Morris and graduated from College of St. Elizabeth, receiving a degree in accounting. She continued to live in the Morristown area until she married and moved to Tafton. She worked for BASF Chemical Co. for 27 years until her death from leukemia. She was active in her church and served as a Eucharistic Minister in New Jersey and was also a member of Catholic Daughters of America. A lover of boating and fishing, she was a member and former secretary of the Lake Wallenpaupack Yacht Club and a member of the Coasters Car Club. In addition of her husband and mother, she is survived by one sister: Winifred L. Wilcox of California; a brother and sister-in-law: F. Thomas & Kathy Wilcox of Florida; six step children: Bruce, Ronald Jr., Cathy, Cynthia, Christina and Anita; and 10 grandchildren: Breanna, Tyler, Michael, Justin, Jessica, Kyle, Edward, Emily, Diana J. and Tatiana. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl F. Wilcox, and a granddaughter, Sarah. Calling hours will be Monday, July 7, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. There will be a funeral mass on Tuesday, July 8, at 10:00 AM at St. Veronica's RC Church, Paupack. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Orangeville, PA.
