Dear Emil,
I love and miss you. I've known you since I was about two, you always treated me as your own grandchild. I love you so much. I loved being around you and hearing the stories of the bar. I promise that on the day of my 21st birthday my first drink will be a beer and I'll dedicate it to you. Knowing that you're in a better place eases the greif. You always have and always will be loved by many. I can't wait to see you. Until then, I love you, I miss you.
Love Always,
Missy <3

Thank-you for giving me great memories. I love you all very much and cant wait till the day we can all meet again.

It's Aunt Pam again ! posted a condolence
I just have to take this opportunity to share with you some of the great memories my family, Tiffanie, Tara, David & I have of Emil. What a funny guy he was & what a big heart he had. To us he was Uncle Emil who was always washing & polishing his truck. Uncle Emil with a beer in one hand & a radish in the other, of course w/salt. U/Emil who bellowed "What's for dinner"? Uncle Emil who loved to eat that funny named sausage that I can't spell. And then the best...Tiffanie, Tara & Betsy were trying to sneak out of the house. They planned to climb out the upstairs bedroom window and as they lowered Tara out, the sheets unraveled and she fell from the second story. Well, Pat, Emil & I were hanging out in the kitchen talking and Emil was standing at the kitchen window. All of a sudden he ducked down quickly and said "What the h was that:? "Did you see that"? "That was the biggest bird I ever saw"....Hence, Tara falling out of the upstairs window, right down in front of the kitchen window...
At many family gatherings, we laugh about Emil thinking Tara was a big bird...And think about Pat forever in the kitchen, cooking & baking wonderful food & goodies. Great memories we have and even more stored away for another "family gathering".
Love you guys...

Dear Family, My childhood memories are as vivid in my memory as yesterday. I think back to all of the wonderful camping trips, back yard bbq's, days in the pool, summer vacations and holidays and can't help but think of all of you and your presence there. Aunt Pat and Uncle Emil, Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our lives. What a great blessing it is to know this life is truly "for but a minute". How great it will be one day, once again, to be together as a family, in Heaven. You are all in my heart, eternally, and in my prayers, until we meet again, may we each rest in His love. We love you all.

Dear Steiner Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear about our loss of Uncle Emil. I know this must be a difficult time for everybody.
Just a few years ago, I remember my parents (Edward and Maureen Steiner), Emil and Pat reminiscing about their vacations together at our family barbeque in Brownsville, Oregon. They were laughing about their excursion to San Francisco in search of Beanie Babies and delicatessens!
I know Emil will be missed by many, especially by his little brother Eddie. My father always looked up to his big brother Emil. Emil was always there for his little brother during thick and thin….. I thank God Emil was there for my father to help him to grow up to be the great father he is today.
Emil, you will truly be missed. We know you are at peace now and we are thankful for all the great things and people you brought into this world.
All my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
