We have fond memories of Maria, especially at the German Club meetings. She loved to talk about her garden. Maria was known for her soups which she brought to the Christmas parties. Al especially enjoyed them (and sometimes Maria set aside a separate container for him!) In recent years, Maria loved to talk on the phone abour her grandson. Our prayers go out to Frank, and to her son John and his family.
Mr. Schreiber and John, So sorry to hear about Mrs. Scheibers passing. My thoughts and prayers are with will you..I will always remember the great German salad your Mom made for us
It was a priviledge to have known Maria and also to have worked with her for many years. She always had a kind word and a quick smile. Maria was a blessing to all who knew her.
John, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was always so kind to me and that is what I will remember. She was beautiful and kind. You and your family are in my thoughts.
Molly
Maria was a kind, gentle and giving person. She faithfully and loyally served the membership of the Lake Wallenpaupack German-American Club as Secretary until she no longer could.
She will not be forgotten even as the Club celebrates its 25th Anniversary in 2009.
Frank and Family, please accept our deepest of sympathies at this most difficult time.
Family and friends are coming together online to create a special keepsake. Every memory left on the online obituary will be automatically included in this book.
