Mark J. Rockett, age 59, of Paradise Point, Lakeville, died Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at home.Mr. Rockett was born May 29, 1949, in Abington, PA, and was the son of the late Stanley and Helen (Peters) Rockett. He was a retired machinist at Prompton Tool. Mr. Rockett was a graduate Upper Moreland/Willow Grove High School. He did his apprenticeship at Service Tool & Die in Huntingdon Valley, PA. During the late 60's he was a member of Philadelphia Eagles Sound of Brass Marching Band. Mark was a member of the Handyman's Club of America and was active with his community doing dock work and snowplowing.He is survived by his wife: Margaret "Peg"(Tigue) Rockett; two daughters: Sarah Rockett of Honesdale, PA, and Rebeccah Rockett of Hawley, PA; two brothers & sisters-in-law: Stanley and Fran Rockett of Waynesboro, VA, and Peter and Charlene Rockett of Lawrenceville, NJ; 5 stepsons: Jerry Gillespie of Forest City, PA, Mark Gillespie of Langhorne, PA, Andrew Horvath of Portland, OR, Michael Horvath of Dover, DE, and Eric Horvath of Philadelphia, PA; and best friend: Rosemarie Hoesly of Lakeville, PA. Mark was looking forward to his first grandson, due in May.Calling hours will be Saturday, Jan. 24, from 2 to 4:45 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. A remembrance service will be held Saturday, Jan. 24 at 4:45PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley. Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel, PA.Memorials may be made to the Peg Rockett Family.
