Obituary of Theresa Belwin

Theresa Duffy Belwin, 76, of Honesdale, passed away May 28, 2009, at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Belwin, on December 29, 1994. Born July 15, 1932, in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Emily Cooke Duffy. A housewife, loving mother and grandmother, she also worked at Camden Hospital as a nurse's aide. She enjoyed her grandchildren, watching movies and listening to music. Surviving are two daughters: Kelly Cousins and her husband Thomas of Honesdale with whom she resided and Patricia Foster and her husband James also of Honesdale; a son: Charles Kunch; four grandchildren: Gregory Cousins, William, Matthew, and Michael Foster; four sisters: Aileen Passanisi of Lindenhurst, NY, Emily Halveston of Shamong, NJ, Nancy Shuncko of Middle Village, NY, and Kathleen Boczniewicz of Dalton, PA; two sisters-in-law: Dolores Duffy of New York and Eileen Sherman of Honesdale, PA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Albert and Nicholas; her sisters, Mary Kilbridge and Deanne Duffy; and her special adopted grandson, Tyler Bond. The family of Theresa would like to send a special thank you to the nursing staff on the third floor of Wayne Memorial Hospital and Dr. Layton for all their care they had given her while she was there. Theresa's wishes were to have her body donated to Humanity of Gifts. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity
