Frank F. Honigman age 95, of Somers, NY, and formerly of Richmond Hill, Queens, NY, died Sunday, November 3, 2013 with his three daughters at his side at Calvary Hospital in New York. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 69 years, Agnes (Osterman) Honigman, in 2011. They enjoyed being seasonal residents of Hawley, PA, for seventy-five years. Mr. Honigman was born May 27, 1918, in Ridgewood, NY, and was the son of the late Alexander and Sofie Hoenigman who immigrated to the United States from Gottschee. His early days were spent in Ridgewood, Brooklyn, attending P.S. 77 and Grover Cleveland High School. He began his career with the Guaranty Trust Company as a Page in 1935 at the age of 17 and while working, pursued a Bachelors of Business Administration at night at City College of New York. In 1941 he married his high school love, Agnes. During WWII, Frank enlisted in the U.S Army Air Corps and was accepted into Officer's Training School. He was stationed at the Greenville Air Force Base in Mississippi where he trained as a "Bottom Gunner" on the B-24. After the war, he resumed his career and enrolled into New York University Graduate School and in 1955 he was conferred with a Master of Business Administration. Frank's career prospered and during that time he was responsible for the migration to early computerization in the 1960's. After 45 years of service he retired in 1980 from the Morgan Guaranty Trust Company as Assistant Treasurer of Bank Operations. Frank Honigman was a devoted husband and family man. He enjoyed investing, banking and shopping for good CD rates. While retired, he also enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world with his wife and spending summers in Hawley PA. He is survived by three daughters: Joan Fetto and her husband Ralph of New Fairfield, CT, Priscilla Hrabovsky and her husband George of Paupack, PA, and Brenda Jeselnik and her husband Joseph of Pound Ridge, NY; seven grandchildren: Thomas Fetto, Jeanine Diller, Jennifer Sparks, Allison and George Hrabovsky, Jaclyn Jeselnik-Londrigan and Joseph B. Jeselnik; seven great grandchildren: Ryan, Daniel, Nathalie, Justin, Emily, Jake and Ella. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Ann Honigman of Hawley, PA. Calling hours will be Thursday, November 7, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 8, at 10 AM at BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, PA. Burial will be in B.V.M. Queen of Peace Cemetery in Hawley, PA.
