Obituary of Chester S. Mogelesky

Chester S. Mogelesky, age 92, of Paupack Point, Hawley, died Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, the former Margaret A. Marcinov.
Born July 13, 1917, in Throop, PA, he was the son of the late Stanley and Alice (Lipski) Mogelesky. He served with the 1st Special Marine Brigade, USS Noble, Quantico, VA, during WW II. Formerly of Carteret, NJ, he was a retired plumber.
Devoted to his family and faith, Chester was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Marjorie Novak and her husband, David, of North Plainfield, NJ, Anne Marie Nelson of Worcester, MA, and Rosemary Craig of Anchorage, AK; two sisters: Sabina Miller of Dunmore, PA, and Rose Haggerty of Belle Mead, NJ; seven grandchildren: Michael and Monica Novak of North Plainfield, NJ, Erik Nelson of Worcester, MA, Katrina Lacher of Moore, OK, Alexandra Fogarty of Denver, CO, Thomas and Benjamin Craig of Anchorage, AK; four great grandchildren: Amanda, Michael, Olivia and Finn; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Walter.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, Jan. 19, from 4 to 6 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 10:00 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, celebrated by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Entombment will be at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
