Obituary of Judyth Ann Tyler

Judyth "Judy" Ann Tyler, age 68, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at the family homestead in Lakeville, PA. Mrs. Tyler was born October 2, 1941, in Scranton, PA, and was the daughter of the late Leonard Pierce and Revel (Reineke) Jenkins. She was a 911 dispatcher, then 911 coordinator for Wayne County until retirement and was instrumental in establishing the Wayne County 911 system. Judy was known as a gifted soprano for many years. Her hobbies included gardening, bird watching, reading, especially WW II history, cooking, singing and playing the piano. She is survived by her husband of 27 years: Boyd Tyler; two daughters and sons-in-law: Laurie and Bryan Dauchert and Tera-Lisa and David Miller; a grandson: Kyle Schoebel; a great grandson: Damian Alexander Schoebel; one brother: Earle Jenkins; three stepdaughters: Cindi Erhardt, Kimber Bayly, and Diane Balanovich; four stepsons: Randy Tyler, Wayde Tyler, Joseph Balanovich, and Moran Balanovich; and seven step-grandchildren: Ryan, Jordan, Alex, Anna, Maria, Elizabeth, and Kim. She was predeased by a sister, Beverly Smith, and a son-in-law, Francis Lonergan. Visiting will be Sunday, May 2, 2010, from 1 to 2 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 2 PM at Lakeville United Methodist Church, 431 Purdytown Turnpike, Lakeville, with Rev. Martin L. Cox, Jr., Pastor of Hawley United Methodist Church, officiating. Cremation was at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel, PA. Memorials may be made to Dessin Animal Shelter, 138 Miller Rd., Honesdale, PA 18431
