Alma you taught us all to make "lemonaid when we had lemons". You were an inspriation to all who knew you. I will miss your smile and the prayer time we often had together. I know you are home with our Lord and writing poems there.

Alma & Charlie were not only tireless forces in the Hawley Library, but I knew them through the VFW and I frequently met them coming from their duties at the Wayne County Historical Society in Honesdale at the end of my workday. I remember that Alma wrote verses that were patriotic and uplifting. During the visits I had with Alma at her homes, even the personal care ones, I felt inspired by her happy attitude. I seem to remember that she got on a horse as one of her dream wishes. I will miss her.

Linda and Connie, I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a very special person. When I was just a little girl and she was my Sunday school teacher, release time class teacher, scout leader,Mom to all of us, I used to think in my childish mind that she was an angel put on earth just for us.She was so special, of course she had to be sent from God above.
Now that I am much older and wiser, there is no doubt in my mind that she was a gift to the children of Hawley, sent directly from our Lord above. He has called her home to rest and rejoice with her beloved family members that had gone before. Rest in peace lovely lady. You will always be in my thoughts and
your girls will be in my prayers.

I visited Coni at her parents house as a teenager. I always remember the sweeping willow tree. I have to this day a
Santa Ornament she gave me, and hang it with the special ornaments every year. I remember Alma always showing interest in not only my life, but also my dad, Peter Jung. Alma wrote a nice insert for the Cole Memorial Church for "Pete Jung" day in 2005. She lead a full life, had a beautiful family and will be remember fondly.

Alma and family were my close neighbors for a number of years before the Rt. 6 re-routing took away their home. She was always so friendly even when I was so mischievous. I also remember her as a major player in the first Hawley library. What a thrill it was to walk to 'the library' and check out a book. Disability? What disability? If we 'normal' folks had half of her drive and motivation, imagine what we could get done! As a good and faithful Baptist I'm sure she's with the Lord now. My prayers and thoughts go out to Linda and Connie. Bill Nichols

Many fond memories of Alma, my nephew showing her how to light off some fire crackers one 4th of July, the book she wrote of her memories after reading one my grandmothers sister had written, how happy she always was to receive anything from the garden hand delivered to her lap, her "Happycap" explaination, her visit to the farm where she went 4 wheeling in the rain.... just to name a few. The landlady.

Linda and Coni, I'll always remember your mom as a sweet, sweet, lady. My earliest memories of her are teaching me in Sunday School and also at Brownies. When she read a book to us she made it come alive. She was so inspiring.
She'll be missed here on earth but I'm sure they are rejoicing in Heaven.
