Obituary of Jean Kelemen

Jean Kelemen, age 96, of Lakeville died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Lackawanna Health & Rehabilitation Center, Olyphant. She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Kelemen, in 2001. Born February 15, 1915, in Throop, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Tellie (Sczmanski) Kucharski. A retired school cafeteria worker, she was a member of BVM Queen of Peace RC Church. She enjoyed crocheting and bingo, but truly loved being with her family and all her grandchildren around whom her life revolved. She is survived by three grandchildren: Betsy Robinson and her husband Pete of Hawley, John Hunsberger and his wife Kathy of Florida and Tom Hunsberger of Allentown; five great grandchildren: Kayla Troast of Hawley, Kiera Troast and her companion Chris Machler of Dingmans Ferry, James Hunsberger and his wife Nicole of New Milford, Jenny Unland of Florida, and Jeremy Unland and his wife Nell of Florida; four great great grandchildren: Chloe Hunsberger of New Milford, Autumn Cleary of Florida and William and Ashton Unland, both of Florida; a sister: Frances Washkuch of Olyphant; a brother: Peter Kucharski of Throop; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jean Hunsberger; a granddaughter, Alicia Hunsberger; three sisters, Mildred Boyer, Jennie Kowalski and Stella Simonick; and two brothers, Joseph and Harry Kucharski. Calling hours will be Monday, March 7, from 8:30 to 10 AM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. There will be a Prayer Service on Monday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in B.V.M. Queen Of Peace Cemetery, Hawley.
