Obituary of Lillian M. Kaiser

Lillian M. Kaiser, age 80, of Wallenpaupack Lake Estates in Lake Ariel died Thursday, March 17, 2011 at home. Mrs. Kaiser was born November 24, 1930 in Carlstadt, NJ and was the daughter of the late Percy and Anna (Weiss) Whitlow. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Russell C. Kaiser in 2005; three brothers: Al, Percy & Jimmy and a sister, Dorothy. Prior to retirement she was employed as a clerk by JC Penney. Mrs. Kaiser was active in the American Legion Post 69 in Carlstadt, NJ. God & church were very important to Lillian, she served in many roles and church boards, she served as secretary of 1st Presbyterian Church of Carlstadt. She adored her grandchildren and their achievements. She was a generous contributor to her church, Dessin Animal Shelter & the local food pantry. She enjoyed many trips to area casinos. She is survived by two daughters & sons-in-law, Phyllis & James Hulme of Rehobeth, MA; Judith & Russell Grewe of Lake Ariel, PA; son & daughter-in-law, Russell & Christie Kaiser of Sacremento, CA; one sister: Florence Lloyd of Concord, CA and one brother: Tom Whitlow of Carlstadt, CA; grandsons, Mark & Jimmy Hulme; granddaughters, Kerri & Erin Grewe; two great grandchildren, Jenna & Jared; several nieces & nephews. Calling hours will be Sunday, March 20th from 2 to 5 PM and Monday, March 21st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Tuesday, March 22nd at 11 AM at Lakeville United Methodist Church, 431 Purdytown Highway, Lakeville with Pastor Debra Dailey officiating. Burial will be in Lakeville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Lakeville United Methodist Church or Dessin Animal Shelter, 138 Miller Rd., Honesdale, PA 18431
