Obituary of Charles Henry Fasig

Charles Henry "Charlie" Fasig, Jr., of The Hideout, Lake Ariel and long-time Lakeville resident, died suddenly at home on Wednesday, December 25, 2013. Born August 17, 1938, in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Charles Henry and Amelia (Santomassino) Fasig, Sr. He had been an ironworker with Ornamental Iron Workers Local #489 and was the retired owner and operator of Charter Homes. He was a lifelong member of the NRA. In his free time, he enjoyed playing poker with his friends, fishing and especially hunting in the Adirondacks. He is survived by his wife, Jean Fasig of Lakeville; three daughters: Lori Fasig-Schaepe and her companion Mark Shuta of Dickson City, Dawn Fasig-Reinhold and her husband George of Tafton, and Susan Fasig and her companion Brian Whitesell of Lakeville; and five grandchildren: Toni and Mikey Kuzmiak, Kaeleigh and Delanie Schaepe and Ryan Shuta. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Arthur Fasig in 2009, and his brother, George Hodgkinson, in 2001. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St., Hawley, PA. The Prayer Service will be held at 4 PM on Sunday following the first session of visitation at the funeral home with Deacon John Giglio of BVM Queen of Peace RC Church officiating.
