I was so sorry to hear of Franny's passing. He was such pleasure to be around and to talk to. I usually saw him at my Uncle Jim's. He fought a long hard battle. This is especially tragic given your families recent loss of Sam. God bless all of you. I hope memories and family will help you during this terrible time.

I met Francis in 1960 when I was 18 and he was 19. I think we first spoke at the stock car races at Moc-a-tec Speedway. He called himself Francie then. I lived in Philadelphia but he became my first boyfriend even tho' we only saw each other on weekends and when we came up to our house on Lake Wallenpaupack for our summer vacations. He loved walking in the woods and knew them like the back of his hand. We lost touch after he joined the army. He was a sweet, gentle young man and I am sorry to hear of his passing. I don't know what made me google his name but he was easy to find. My condolences to Jean, June, Georgie and Anna. Also his wife and children and grandchildren.
